HELCOR – Innovative materials for demanding applications
HELCOR develops and produces high-quality materials based on leather, microfiber, spacer fabric, or leather fiber – for the automotive industry, shoe uppers, bags & accessories, as well as the upholstery and contract furniture sector. Production takes place entirely in Germany, using state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly technologies.
HELCOR uses a patented finishing process in which an extremely thin layer of polyurethane (less than 0.15 mm) is applied to specially manufactured silicone matrices. The PU film is permanently bonded to the substrate using pressure, heat, and an aqueous chemical mixture.
The result: breathable leather that is permeable to water vapor and air, complies with all relevant testing standards, and can therefore be described as “genuine leather” without restriction.
Thanks to flexible matrix production, almost any conceivable surface structure can be created – from classic leather embossing to technical looks such as carbon. The matrix technology also produces uniform materials with enormous scope for design and application.
